A Partnership Worth Building: On Display at the SCG
98’s partnership with the Sydney Swans was built on alignment, not opportunity.
Both organisations independently built a culture of clear commitment to high-performance training, uncompromising standards, and long-term athlete development. To come together in partnership wasn’t a branding exercise - it was a working relationship grounded in methodology, systems, and performance outcomes.
Exposure to an elite sporting environment refined our programming frameworks, strengthened our coaching systems, and reinforced a team-based performance model that prioritises clarity, accountability and progression. The partnership pushed us to think bigger and elevate the way we deliver results.
It also strengthened our ambition: to build the most recognisable high-performance gym network and training methodology in the country - bridging the gap between professional sport and everyday athletes who want to become the most athletic version of themselves.
In 2025, that alignment extended beyond Sydney with the opening of 98 Gym South Melbourne, located within the Swans’ South Melbourne-based facility. Housing both performance cultures under one roof was a natural progression. For the first time in Melbourne, everyday athletes train inside a high-performance environment connected to one of Australia’s most respected sporting organisations. The shared attention to detail. The same performance principles. The collective expectation of professionalism and intent.
What began as an appreciation of two brands built on matching values has evolved into a model for what modern performance training can look like - where community athletes and elite sport coexist within the same framework of discipline, development, and ambition.
Together, 98 and the Sydney Swans have established a space where high performance isn’t exclusive - it’s accessible, structured, and built to last.
